Therapy Dog Program

A therapy dog can bring tremendous comfort and joy to individuals in a variety of settings. However, not all dogs are cut out for this important community role. That's why training your dog to exhibit appropriate behavior, confidence, gentle nature, and ease in various settings is vital.

Therapy Dog Program

In our Therapy Dog Program, you will learn how to work as a team with your therapy dog, identify the types of organizations and businesses that welcome service dogs, recognize your dog’s stress signals, and build in breaks to ensure their well-being and comfort.

Throughout the program, you will learn how to cultivate a deep bond with your dog and work together seamlessly as a team. You will also explore the settings where therapy dogs are most needed, including schools, hospitals, nursing homes, and hospice care. By the end of the program, you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others with your therapy dog.
